Sampling Management

Sampling points

Are the locations on which you place your camera traps. A sampling point has a name, coordinates and optionally a feature. The available features are defined as part of the Camtrap DP standard. A sampling point can be used for multiple deployments. For example, when you have a camera set up at the same location for a month each year.

Deployment tags

Tags allow you group deployments, which can be useful during analysis. Tags are freely defined in the project an each deployment can have none, one or multiple tags linked to it. For example, you can use tags to group deployments by habitat type, treatment, paired placements etc.

Cameras

Optionally, you can keep track of individual cameras used within your project. With each deployment, you can link a camera. One use case is a study with mixed camera models, where you want to check if that influenced the results in any way.
